Can't get AI to work properly

    So I have a mage which will cast spells, and I'd like them to behave like skeletons, where they strafe and look at the player. But right now, they just randomly walk around (the spells work fine) and it just looks weird. They don't even look at the player.

      AIGoalSelectors:
      - 0 clear
      - 1 randomstroll
      - 2 skeletonbowattack
      - 3 movetowardstarget

    ok this may not be exactly what you want but it should work just fine first put this in the AI section:
    Code:
    AIGoalSelectors:
    - 0 clear
    - 1 lookatplayers
    - 2 randomlookaround
    - 3 movetowardstarget
    - 4 randomstroll
    AITargetSelectors:
    - 0 clear
    - 1 players
    now in your spell skill add this line
    Code:
    - potion{type=SLOW;duration=40;level=7;} @self
    this should cause your 'mage' to pause and cast its spell and if you wish to add a cool cast partical effect these may work
    - effect: particles{p=reddust;color=#FF00FF;uel=true}
    or maybe
    - effect:smokeswirl{duration=2;interval=2} @self
    (particles are not my strong suit.)

    there is no space between effect: and particles but it kept replace the : p with :p
