Hello, I tried to make a mob that spawn on daylight but I wasn't able to make him random spawn (with the add option) in a normal world but he wouldn't spawn even with a 100% chance and a high priority.
But in a flat world he would spawn on every vanilla spawn_point, for example whenever a mob spawn, he would spawn at the same time on the same block. Yet the description of the add option say mythicmobs use is own spawn-points/algorithm

here is the code of my random spawn

    Code:
        ChaosStevePlainRandomSpawn:
          Action: ADD
          Type: ChaosStevePlain
          Chance: 1
          Priority: 10
          UseWorldScaling: true
          Worlds: Admin_Test,Wild_Testing
          Conditions:
          - lightlevel{l=0to15}
          - biome{b=PLAINS} true

What kind of mob are you trying to spawn? Like, what is its base type (zombie)? Some mobs have issues spawning in daylight if they generically spawn in darkness.

I read somewhere that mythicmobs cannot replace 100% of mobs spawned due to some vanilla code somewhere, but 99% of them should work. Keep in mind that some mobs, such as cows, require certain surface materials in order to spawn (grass, etc) and enough light.

Regardless, if you are in a plains biome and in daylight...cows should be able to spawn. Maybe they require a certain height?

I'll try with another creature type

EDIT: I tried with baby zombie, husk, cow, pig and it's the same result the creature only spawn at night if she is a mob (on the vanilla spawns) and if the creature is an animal, she only spawn on flatworld on the same spawns as slimes or in caves where zombie spawns in the overworld

In your config.yml, did you set GenerateSpawnPoints to true?

I enabled the option but now all my mobs who previously spawned (with random spawn) doesn't spawn naturally anymore and my chaos can't spawn naturally too

Once enabled it requires more specific spawning conditions for each mob. I'm not sure how to help you then, my apologies.

Did you ever figure anything out? The add function has been broken for at least a year since I have been using MM. I was hoping they fixed it by now. However I am having problems with it as well. They either do not spawn in at all or they spawn in every where. There is nothing between those extremes.

Using replace and setting priority real high to 99 and then playing with chance is the way that seems to work.
